Neighbor2Neighbor Ministries is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, regardless of ability. Our goal is to create an inclusive online experience that reflects our values and supports all users in accessing information with confidence and ease.
We are actively working to ensure that our site meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines serve as the industry standard for designing content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of disabilities.
To support this commitment, we partnered with Pedal Point Solutions, a web accessibility consulting agency led by professionals with lived disability experience, to build and test the Neighbor2Neighbor website with accessibility in mind from the start
Here are some of the key accessibility practices and features built into the Neighbor2Neighbor website:
Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text to support screen readers
Keyboard Navigation: The site is fully navigable by keyboard without requiring a mouse.
Clear and Consistent Layout: We use a predictable and structured layout to support cognitive ease.
Resizable Text: Content remains readable and functional when text is zoomed or resized.
Screen Reader Compatibility: Pages are structured using semantic HTML to support screen reader output.
Inclusive Content: Headings, fonts, and text spacing are designed to be accessible and easy to understand.
Visible Focus States: Focus indicators are clearly visible to help keyboard users stay oriented.
Good Color Contrast: Foreground and background colors are chosen to meet minimum contrast standards for readability.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test and update our site regularly, especially when adding new features or content. Our most recent manual audit was completed on Tuesday, July 6, 2025, using VoiceOver on macOS and iOS (on an iPhone 16 Plus). This testing was performed by Pedal Point Solutions and included input from a legally blind accessibility expert. Comprehensive reviews are scheduled at least twice per year.
We value input from our users. If you discover an accessibility issue or have suggestions for improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

Because web technologies, content, and individual user needs continue to evolve, we cannot guarantee that every part of our website will be fully accessible to every user at all times. However, we are dedicated to identifying and addressing accessibility issues as they arise and strive to make our site as inclusive and usable as possible..
Neighbor2Neighbor Ministries is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive digital experience for all. We will continue to test, improve, and respond to feedback to ensure our site reflects our mission of empowering individuals of all abilities.
